Change in Vampire Aging?
« on: September 07, 2020, 02:07:30 AM »
In the past, when a sim transformed into a vampire, their age bar reset to Day 1 of their current lifespan.
This past week, however, I had my household sims get turned into vampires and their age bars look differently.

*Elder: His age bar was bubbling at the time he transformed. After transformation, it remains bubbly without a "Days lived" indication.
*Young adults: Instead of Day 1 young adults, they age bar froze on the day they transformed with a "Days lived"indication but the "Adult" stage is grayed out.

I took an extende d simming break last year.
During that break, I wonder if vampire aging was changed so that transformation no long resets to Day 1 of the current life stage.
I can't figure out if this is due to a patch or a glitch in my save.
Thanks for reading. :)

I discovered the answer to my question.
When one of the sims in that family got the Eating for Two message, I had her drink the vampire cure as a Day 3 young adult.
After she was cured, her age bar shows her as a Day 1 young adult.

So, their age bar shows their age at the time of transformation, but resets to Day 1 if/when the vampire is cured.
For some reason, I (mistakenly?) thought that the age bar would reset as soon as the sim transformed.

Mods, should I delete this thread?

No, as it has useful data. Not a mod, but just two cents.
