Game Lagging Since Getting Snowy Escape

My game started lagging real bad.  The only new thing is I have Snowy Escape.  I am doing the Realms of Magic aspirations, and then my Sim family is going on vacation in Snowy Escape.  I'm restarting now to see if this helps.

It seems like it takes around two hours to start lagging.  My partner said the problem might be my computer.  Is anyone else getting a problem like I am having?

Yes, if I've had the game running a long time I get that sometimes.  More common for me is poor framerate though, also if it's been running a long time, or a lot of sims present on a lot, or a lot that's been very heavily decorated, or some heavy effects have been running, such as magic duels.
