Can no longer Ride to the Top of the Mountain
« on: December 12, 2020, 06:37:35 PM »
Hi there fellow Simmers,
Wondering if anyone else has experienced the following issue and if so what they did to fix it  ;)
I encountered a glitch/bug when trying to ride the ski lift to the top of the Mountain. My sim now just waves her arms in the air and has the thought bubble with the footprints and what looks like a red x above them. What's strange is that she'd just skied down from the top of the mountain and was about to go back up for another run... when she started waving her arms and the thought bubble and no more riding to the top  :-\
I haven't installed anything new in-game or on my PC and didn't have this problem before today. What's odd is that it was fine one minute and then it wasn't the next...

If you've had them skiing or snowboarding for several runs, they may have become Fatigued, so check their moodlets.  They'll refuse to keep going until that moodlet wears off.  Also, if you've had them going continuously, and they stop, but they WILL go again if you tell them- they probably have an injury.  Being injured already makes them likely to become injured again, and those injuries stack and can be fatal, so be careful!

Hi Brian_Z,
Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, my sim has all her needs met and is injury-free.
The problem occurs when I click on the ski lift to ride to the top or click on a ski slope.
Tried with custom content disabled and the problem still occurred.
It appears to be a glitch with the saved file, as I tried the same action with a different saved file and no problems, but when I returned to the original file but a different sim, the problem occurred...
