Reinstall Expansion Packs?

so i had several expansion packs on my old pc, but sims 3 stopped working on it so i gave up, i gave my discs and codes to a friend i no longer have contact with, so when i got a new pc recently i couldnt get the games.

i caved and bought the base game again, and then decided to try and salvage my expansion packs. so i have them on an sd card and applied them the way they were on the old pc, but they dont show up in the sims 3 launcher, so how do i add them to my game?

But if it won't install due to not having the actual install files, we can't help with that.

i found the codes but theyre 24 characters, not 20?

I am not sure what to tell you. Other than try the codes you have to see if they work.
