Fame through Selling Paintings and Posting Videos

Apologies if this is a basic question, I am a very late comer to Sims 4 (Thanks COVID!)  Here's my question.  When a Sim in a household sells another household member's painting or loads their video does the person selling or loading get the fame?  Or does the creater?  What I think is happening is that the person who loads or sells gets it.

You're right, it's whoever sells or uploads it.  Realistically people would be more interested in who painted/filmed/is featured in the work in question, but it's not how it works in the game.  So whoever needs to gain fame, have them actually sell it- I have a painter who's already 5 stars, but their spouse is still working on it.
