Thanks so much for the nice comments!  I would like to post a recap for in case you read a lot of stories and do not feel like going through all the previous shenanigans to remember my bunch of crazy simmies.

Mostly Martha Generation 4 Recap:

In order from left to right we have:

1)  Martha, the family cook, had red hair.  She achieved her fame by inviting herself to homes and preparing dinner for the surprised occupants.  Her husband, Lincoln, was a scientist with a bit of a roving eye.

2) Her brown-haired daughter, Lina, is the family artist. She had two husbands, Donnell who died tragically in a hot tub repair fiasco, and Benito the repairman who came to her rescue.  They had twins, Bernadette and Lea.

3) Bernadette is blond like her father and the family angler.  She likes a bit of adventuring and takes really good photographs.  She and her childhood sweetheart, Gerardo, had twins as well: Katrin and Frida.  Gerardo became an astronaut despite being afraid of many things.

4) Katrin did not inherit Martha's nose, Lina's lips, or any of the hair colors.  She loves to look at herself in the mirror.  She gardens daily, mainly to grow grapes for her future nectar collection.  She hates high school and often ends up in detention!

Keep reading - more about Katrin's adventures coming soon!

Previously on Mostly Martha:
Bernadette and Gerardo had twins Katrin and Frida.  Bernadette completed her challenges and is now the family deathfish provider.  Katrin likes to garden and dreams of having a nectary.

Chapter 4:  Katrin
Frida does her own and her sister's homework every day so that Katrin does not get in trouble all the time for being late on account of her big garden.  She is always in a good mood and does not seem to mind.

Katrin is on detention almost every day regardless for flapping her lips!  I realized I might have been mistaken about Frida when I saw the look on her face when she talks to Katrin.  A little resentment maybe...oops.

Gerardo has retired from being an astronaut and now likes playing his nifty guitar in the park.

Caught Gerardo walking to the backyard with Donnell for a photograph.  So now we know ghosts have cell phones!

It dawned on Katrin why Lina asked her to put on her nice dress and stand in the basement.

Bernadette's twin sister Lea just retired from being a super spy.  Congrats Lea!

"So what are we doing?" Gerardo asks.  "It's Elder Spa Day today!" says Lina.  "We all get treated with a Soothing Salvation package or whatever is the most expensive and time consuming!"

"Oh hi, Grim," Martha greeted, "see we had a bit of a mixup here.  I was just making Lina a nice plate of Ambrosia when the twins had their birthdays and things got a little out of hand.  Sorry about bringing you out here for no reason, hope you like the flower." (Yes it happened again, gah.)

When you like looking at yourself in the mirror for hours, you run the risk of being pranked by your twin sister.

Katrin is sweet on Kenya and invites him over whenever she has a chance.  He is a bit grumpy but quite a looker.  "Unfortunately, we will have to postpone our romance," she says, "our house a bit full."

Frida is a school teacher.  She has written quite a few books now, including 'Grandma goes Mining', 'Babies Everywhere', 'Seven Phones A-Ringing', and 'They Cannot Marry'.

Katrin is trying out new grape combinations.

All the grapes and fruit are from her own garden.  This combination of gardening and nectar making is working quite well.  The gardening was meant to be the backup for in case nectar making was too hard.  I am surprised to complete both skill's challenges without much trouble.

Lea is calling it quits.  Bye Lea, thanks for weeding the garden for Katrin all the time!

Gerardo stuck around for 108 days.  Now Katrin can finally move into the main bedroom.  Maybe my hair will grow back too, haha.

Wait a minute, who is that in the dark park with a shiny new engagement ring?  Looks like Katrin has had a change of heart.

Meet Maurice, Katrin's brand new husband.  Turns out he likes going to work in a towel.

Clinic outreach day.  Glad he decided to wear something decent.

When Egyptian coffin thingies move around in the basement...

... we might have a new generation soon!

"Dear, since you are a doctor and all, could you possibly tell me if it is a boy this time?"

It's a girl!!  More importantly, just ONE girl!  Welcome to the family, Sylvia.

All the grand- and great grand- and great great grandmothers pitch in to teach Sylvia her toddler stuff.  When it is break time, they watch a little tv.  Today it is a cooking show with Martha.

Sylvia is eccentric and absent-minded.  "Are you sure you know what you're doing, Grandma?" she asks Lina.

When the outreach clinic goes wrong.  Maurice is on the far right, and I can tell he is a bit worried about his job.  Having a patient die while waiting for a diagnosis is not exactly good for your reputation.

Since they are in the graveyard after all, Grim decides to stick around for a swim!

Muhahaha!  Yes, I know I am quite mean, but these paparazzi drive me nuts.  More info about this in Frida's latest book, 'Paparazzi Cobbler'.  Quite a coincidence and not related to this incident at all, mind you.

"Shhh," says Gerardo, "Katrin has had a very busy day.  She has finally been sculpted and will have a very special meal tomorrow morning."

"What's this then, Martha?"  Katrin asks.  "Will it make me happy?"
"Yes dear, now eat up," Martha answers.

And here is the museum.

  Katrin's checklist:
Opportunities:  Research Project, A Fishy Science Project, Charismatic Cash, Uncommonly Good,
  Three  Outstanding Ingredients, Outstandingly Rare
Superskill: Gardening (other Nectar Making, Charisma)
LTRewards: Super Green Thumb, Fireproof Homestead, Body Sculpture
Real Estate:  Museum (property), Sportstadium (building)
Best Friends:  Zebulon Lomax, German Reed, Lydell Bartlett, Doyle Lomax, Renae Kelly, Raquell Bartlett
  LTW:  Bottomless Nectar Cellar
  Top Career:  Master Nectar Crafstman

Well, I am sad to say that the story must end here.  According to the Dynasty main thread (page 162 I think) we are not allowed to use the "Paint Still-Life" option for painting sim's portraits.  I have used this option quite often for variety and Lina obviously painted herself with it.  Thanks so much for reading, will catch you again for the next challenge story!

Oh no!  I love this story,  I am sorry to see it end.  If you are trying for the HOF then I do completely understand not putting the effort and energy into continuing the story.  It will be missed!  Looking forward to the next one.  :)

Oh no!  Please don't end it.  Even if it can't make it into the HOF it's a great story and so much fun for us.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

I'm so sorry about your Dynasty Veldmuisie, I know you must have put a lot of work into it and I enjoyed reading it.  :'( Still, you can always start a new Dynasty or even make a casual Legacy from the old one. Good luck for your future attempts. :)

Hey Veld, sorry you had to join the club! All that time and effort, it just sucks.
You've played too much TS3 when ... your 13 month old's babble sounds like Simlish!

I am locking this thread and moving it to the stories graveyard.  If the author wishes to continue, it can be revived.
