Funny Police Issue ...

  Has anyone had a robber show up in Late night [sometime's it takes them a while to get to certain houses] and have the police show up , the cop beats them up and they still steal items and get away?  This has happened to me twice.  It was early in the game and I could not afford the alarm.  As I said earlier I hear the music for being broken into and maybe 15 - 30 seconds later the burglar shows up so I have plenty of time to notify the cops.

This has also happened before Late Night.  The robbers ususally are more athletic than the police officer and can therefore get away. 
Sometimes I have even heard the music play but no robber shows up - I think they were just casing the joint  .

I've had this happen recently too, although I don't have late night.
Unfortunately it happened in my Garden of Eatin' challenge not long after I'd started and he got away with my dishwasher and fridge!

There are two different burglars in Sunset Valley. The cops always defeat Robbie Bland and arrest him, but Twyla Summers occasionally defeats the cop and gets away.

Once in my game, a burglar came into my apartment. It hadn't come yet, but I heard the burglary music. So I called and waited for police. Policeman came early into my apartment, scolded Robert Arcon, and took away half of my funds as fine (I was really having budget difficulties).

When he was going from one room to another, he encountered the burglar less than 3 steps away from him. Even still, he just looked at the burglar and went away! Burglar was about to take my items until my brave sim, William Arcon returned home from job. He had mastered athletic skill, and was hugely muscular.

Thus, the burglar was beaten up 5 times, but still he wasn't left so easily. I camera-followed his car and learnt the location of his apartment. Then I came to his home and beaten him up 5-6 more times. All the neighbours watched the criminal lose.

From that day onwards, whenever William encounters the burglar, he beats him up, even in front of huge crowds, band performances and bars.

Funny, wasn't it!!
