Private Investigator
« on: July 03, 2010, 12:57:12 PM »
The Private Investigator Career Guide is now done. Thanks a lot, Branr. Rather than try to work in my commentary I took Branr's offering and used it as a framework for the guide version.

I'm not sure how I feel about the profession itself. There's an awful lot to do, but the goal of 35 cases for the lifetime wish is way too many for a 30,000 reward. I won't go on a rant about how badly I want the patch but I am hoping that is one type of balancing issue they fix. At least it's not 100 good reviews from home design!

This profession really does crack me up though. It makes everyone in town seem so paranoid and struck with lunacy. Sure, I'll figure out what happened to your toothpaste for $650! And as part of my thanks I get a minty breath moodlet  ???

Agreed!  The stories that go along with the cases are pretty funny!

Ok then!

Great guide, guys.  Well done!

I'm playing my trial run investigator (a re-worked Hank Goddard) and having a blast with him.  I'll be able to create my real Sim and start writing the LTW guide soon.  :)

Glad to help!  I think, out of all the new professions, this one is my favorite!

Haha yeah it can be pretty crazy, but I love it (huge Sherlock Holmes fan) and I love having to do so many things for one case, instead of sending my sim to work and wait until he/she finishes :P

I like that it certainly helps you to explore a neighbourhood and meet people and see inside homes.

Maybe I'm just a nosey parker!

I didn't get very far in this career (was playing it for the first and only time, so far, in the House Hunters challenge last year) so I'm off to read the guide and pick up some tips for next time.

Thanks very much.
