1. You can move your Sims 4 folder from the documents [C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4] to the desktop to make sure your user files are safe.
Click on the Sims 4 folder in the Electronic Arts folder, Select Cut and paste it to the desktop.
Doing it this way saves everything - including the contents of the Saves, Tray, Screenshots, Video and Mods folders, as well as the options.ini file.
2. Repair Sims 4 - In Origin > Games Library tab: Right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair.
