Rock Climbing Wall and Bad Weather
« on: July 08, 2018, 01:42:00 AM »
My sims are unable to shelter the rock climbing wall in bad weather because their house's ceiling isn't high enough.
I guess the easiest solution would be to raise the ceiling to maximum height but it would change the look of their house.

The rock climbing wall is currently outdoors on a rooftop.
I've noticed that if it's left out in the rain/snow, it breaks.
It then displays a Repair option but if a sim repairs it, it only immediately breaks again.
I guess they'll be moving it to Family Storage whenever they are not using it.

My question is: Is this happening to anyone else? Or is it only my game?
A Last Exception is not being generated whenever this happens.

Had that happen, after the 6th repair, I just created a room in the backyard that covered the rock climbing wall to protect it from the elements. If you don't have the space, then sticking it into the family inventory would be good holding space.

I too had issues with breakage in the weather. I put it in the basement raising the wall down there as to not affect the looks in the upstairs area.

That is a really cool feature.  I must say that EA really sweated the details on this one.
