Sims won't leave the bees alone

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but my Sims are very fond of the "disturb the bees" interaction. If I send my sim to interact with the hive, I need to hover and make sure she doesn't autonomously follow up by REPEATEDLY peeking back in (even if I have other tasks queued up). Her husband likes to "disturb the bees" for fun whenever he's in a playful mood, which is regularly because I thought this household would be a good one to use the washer and dryer with (I'm reconsidering).

Is this happening for anyone else? As someone who is borderline terrified of bees in real life, I'm really confused by this behavior.

Mine likes to disturb the bees also, especially when they are sleeping.  She gets stung every time, you think she would get the message, lol.

Maybe this is linked to a personality trait? My sims haven't done this once. Could be that directing your sims to do this sets off the obsession.

Has something to do with being mischievous, I do believe.  Not sure on that though.  She has that little mischievous icon in the queue picture.
