Algomoo2, the person that started this thread, mentioned they saw the game choose Dragon Fish over Life Fruit.

I'm not going to be the guy who bugs everyone repeatedly about this, so this is my last say.
Life fruits and dragon fish may be excellent, and apples have relatively poor quality compared to them, but I find them in practice to be easy to handle and really adequate in what actual effect you get from them. So if you're not generally a completionist and must have everything absolutely perfect, apples are actually completely an option you shouldn't dismiss so easily. No offence meant.

No offense taken.  It was just that your statement might be misleading to new people coming here for information.  If you prefer to use apples for fertilizer for the reasons you describe, there's no harm in that.  But I want it to be clear that it's a difference in playing style, not that apples truly are a better fertilizer for someone who strives for perfection.  :)

Ok, I have another aspect of the gardening to ask.  I have a Sim who is a level 10 in gardening and we use garlic as our fertilizer.  But I am running into where the plant wilts and the only option I am getting is to remove dead plants.  Is there something that I may be doing wrong?  We use the sprinklers on the garden as well.  Any suggestions?

thanks
Irish

After a given time of producing, your plants will become barren and you will have to plant some new ones to take their place in your garden.

red, irish may be pointing to a bug I've had happen in one of my games as well — despite the fact that I had sprinklers on Auto Water, some plants still wilted and the Sims had to manually water them.

I've noticed some delay in when the sprinklers make the plants be considered watered, relative to all other plants around them. It's usually not a long delay, so it does not bother me more than I hate them looking all black sometimes, but I believe it could be related to that bug of your's. Sadly, I do not know what causes it, more than I may be having it.
