Washing Machine / Hamper not working. *Fixed*

Good morning,

So as the title says, I'm having a couple of issues with the Laundry Day stuff pack; Its' been days and there are no washing in the hampers (I have around 2 dotted around) and the only option I get with the washing machine is "Upgrade..." I also have a washing line outside for my Sims to use. I've removed my mods from the folder to check that there weren't any problems there and it was the same result, and there are no shelves above the washing machine.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

This bug should have been fixed with April's patch. Game Patch Info.

However, you mentioned having Mods and cc. To be sure it's not anything in the mods folder, you might want to move the mods folder out of the Sims 4 folder to the desktop (for testing purposes), clear the game cache and the localthumbcache.package. Then test again.

Some things to try:

- Sell off the washer and hampers and buy new ones.
- Rearrange the laundry room to see if that helps - making sure there isn't anything above or around the washer (lights/shelves/decor).
- Try a different family to see if they're having issues as well.
- Try a new game save to see if the issue remains.
- Repair Game.
- Try Sims 4 factory reset and new game without the mods folder to see if that helps.

If none of the above help, you might try reporting the issue to Sims 4 Bug Reports forum on AHQ.

Just to reiterate what MrsFlynn has said, the patch fixed the issue with laundry hampers going forward. So in other words any existing hampers need to be sold and repurchased for the patch/fix to work.

Hi to you both, and thanks for your quick responses!

I've already tried removing the mods, repairing the game and deleting the cache files. I had only bought the game only recently and have got the latest updates - I've also tried deleting/selling and replacing the items in question, to no avail. Equally, a different family / new game didn't fix the issue either.

Unfortunately, like a doofus, I deleted what I thought was an ancient folder and it ended up being the most recent >.> Thankfully I had stuff backed up haha. In any case, nothing was lost as far as I am aware and if i'm missing anything, well, nevermind. It can be redownloaded!
