Master of the Arts with Drums?

My sim's girlfriend just moved in, and she has the Master of the Arts lifetime wish and the Drums skill at level 3 but nothing in Guitar. Is it possible to complete the Master of the Arts wish by maxing Drums and Painting, considering that Drums and Guitar are functionally the same? Or do I need to level up Guitar specifically?

My gut reaction says no, you’d need guitar, but I’ve noticed some weird glitches with LTW recently. I had a sim with the Culinary Librarian wish, and he hit it when he was only a level 3-4 cook. Give it a shot with the drums. But if your Sim has “artistic” but not “virtuoso,” then guitar will level more quickly.
