I tried everything I could find but Mods still not working!

So, for the last few days I have been trying to install mods but it's just not working. I've tried to follow everything I could find and still nothing is showing up on my Sims game.

I'm on a PC, Windows 10, and my game version is 1.67. I have put the Mods folder in the Documents/ElectronicArts/TheSims3 folder and in there I have put the Resource.cfg file, Overrides folder and Packages folder. In the Packages folder I've put the no intro mod so I could see if it would work. Everything is unzipped and I've also deleted all the cache, and still it won't work and I don't understand why.

It may be due to the mod being outdated. You might try posting on the mod's page comment section to see if anyone there can help.

The expected behavior with that mod is that only the intro that came with the base game will be removed and the maxis logo will not be removed.
If you want the maxis logo to be removed you'll probably want to replace it with http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=497903 instead.

It could be something wrong with the files in your The Sims 3 folder. Corruption or other.

Have you tried a factory reset?  If the Nointro mod doesn't work in the new folder then the problem resides in your mods folder. (Maybe the resource file is empty or outdated, etc)
