The Mod Conflict Detector mod only finds conflicts between different mods, not mods and the game. It has not been recently updated, so please keep in mind that it may not work as intended.

If the 50/50 method isn't working, then you may need to try testing smaller batches. In the post linked below you'll find some tips that may help.

If the tips in that post don't help. You may need to go back to where you downloaded the mods and custom content to see if it's been updated to be compatible with the current game patch level which is - PC 1.36.102.1020 / Mac 1.36.102.1220

As you'll know the large patch that came out just before Cats and Dogs was released broke a huge amount of mods and some cc. Sadly the only way you can figure out which cc/mod is broken is to do the 50/50 method if you haven't organized your cc/mods by creator which would allow you to test in smaller batches.

To avoid this you can organize your cc/mods. You can't nest folders within folders but you can go one folder deep like this: Mod Folder>nameofcreator

Also go check at the creators sites. Chances are they may have posted an updated version now. At the least you might see a notice about what items of theirs the patch broke.

Both Play and I have tried to help you the best we can. Again, the Mod Conflict Detector mod only finds conflicts between different mods, not mods and the game. It has not been recently updated, so please keep in mind that it may not work as intended.

We cannot help you if you can't do your part in going through your custom content to find what is conflicting with the game. Again our how to is here in the post linked below:

The conflicting mods and custom content could be making your game crash. If that's the case there's not much we can do about it.

We get a lot of questions regarding game crashes, so we made a troubleshooting post. Please have a look at it and try the tips.
