Pet toy box facing different direction

While I don't have this exact issue, I did have one which I think may be related to vanishing items. I bought the pet toy box, placed it and every time I started my game it had turned itself around so that it was facing the wall. 

Did anyone else have this happen to them as well?

None of my items vanished. I do play in offline mode and disconnected from the internet, which may be the reason? Still seems a little weird.

I don't think this has anything to do with playing online vs. offline.
