Bestselling Author aspiration question
« on: October 11, 2017, 12:55:30 AM »
One of my Sims has the Bestselling Author aspiration and he's at the Competent Wordsmith stage. He only needs to finish "Write 5 Good Books" to move forward. The only problem is that he's already mastered Writing Skill and every book he's publishing is a bestseller. Is there anyway for me to work around that?

Try having him write while in a bad mood, that can maybe have an effect on book quality.

If it's anything like baking, gardening & painting, "Good" means a minimum level. Anything better than that, should qualify, as well.

Hi @Fandom4Friends, welcome to the forum.

As CuriousSim said, 'good' is the minimum  level needed, so your bestsellers and excellent books will be fine and you should wizz through the level easily.

For the last level you will need to write some bestsellers and it only starts counting them when you reach that stage, so earlier bestsellers won't be acknowledged. It also won't recognise if you finish a book when you have switched to a different aspiration so make sure you are on Bestselling Author before you get the notification that your sim has finished a book if you want it to count.
