Placing Lots?
« on: September 10, 2017, 06:45:33 PM »
Hi everybody:

this may sound like a dumb question, but i really don't play sims 4 and i am trying to but very bored. i am wondering if i can place lots in worlds before i go and create a sim to play, or do i have to create the sim first, place them in their home and then place all the lots i want in the game?

thanks!

Hi! You do have to place a sim. What I do is place a sim that I won't play but rather will just become an unplayed townie in a house. That way when I have finished setting up my worlds etc I can place the sim I actually want to play and start playing them immediately.

It doesn't make any difference if you place your main sim and then go into Manage Worlds etc, I just like to have my main sim controlled 100% of the time.

You can place any amount of sims into houses and mark them as 'unplayed' which allows you to control the population of your worlds the way you like it.

Yep, just place your main sim and then hop into manage worlds and then just choose to play that sim when you are finished. You can do this at any stage so even after a few sim days if you want to place something else you can.

I used to do it this way (placing only my main sim) but recently I've taken to populating the worlds with my sims as the game generated ones are just so ugly!  ::)
