Store content not downloading on Steam version of game

Hey everyone! 

So I recently bought Sims 3 through Steam along with Generations, Pets, Supernatural, and Seasons. Previously I had been playing through Origins and with Late Night.  Now I have a few downloads in my launcher that I'd like to download into my game (namely the Door of Life and Death) but it won't install.  When I go to install any content I get the error message: "Installation failed. Please make sure your game has the latest Software Updates and try again." However through Steam the game seems to be updated.  Can anyone help?

It sounds like the store content is actually downloaded, it just won't install?
