Thank you for sharing the photo. I can't tell if you have any backup of those save files. The photo doesn't show any backups of those specific save files. If you do there are two ways you can recover game files 1. The in-game way, and renaming the backup (the .ver files) in the saves folder. See links below for more details on how to recover/rename the backup files if you're not sure how to.
Recover A Game Save (In-Game)

http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=21519.msg387147#post_GB2PSLook for Rename a Saved-Game File in the Saves folder. This should explain what .ver files are and how to rename them if you have them so that the game can recognize them.
Since you are using a Mac, you may want to look Users/<Username>/Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves
Renaming the saves via the saves folder or in-game works the same regardless if you're using a Mac or PC.
Edited to Add:
Taking a closer look at the photo and seeing that there's a space in the filename. For example: Slot_00000002 5.save -- There shouldn't be a space in the filename.
You will most likely need to rename it for the game to recognize the file. You could rename it Slot_00000028.save. Load the game up, select it from the Load Game Menu.
If the above doesn't help, you may want to look the thread linked below, made specifically for Mac users.
