Any way to force event challenges to start?
« on: July 28, 2017, 04:24:39 AM »
There are plenty of mods to unlock the objects, but is there any way to force the actual events to start?

Not that I am aware of. You can also unlock the items using cheats: bb.showhiddenobjects will allow you to get anything that has been added to the game as a reward for one of the challenges/live events.

Yeah I figured that out afterwards, bb.showhidden objects + bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement to unlock them. But it would be nice to be able to do the actual events. Are they server-based or something?

They are live events (Challenge Events) run by EA so not player induced at all. We normally get a patch a few days before the event starts and then it runs for a few days and ends, all without player initiation. Don't ask me to explain it in technical terms lol. Sorry, can't do that!

The bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement isn't needed to unlock event/challenge items. That cheat unlocks career reward items.

It unlocks every locked object that is normally unlocked through gameplay, so it's needed for the stump, the sugar skull shelf and the planters:

Before cheat:

After cheat:

Hey, thanks for that.  :) Hmm, it's weird as I can access everything with just bb.showhiddenobjects. Still, if it works for you, all good.  :)

Probably because you've already done the PlantSim challenge normally? And already met the "gameplay requirement" for unlocking the object?
