I could use some TS3 SSD help
« on: June 11, 2017, 05:39:56 PM »
I have my first SSD in my computer and I seem to be having some problems.

I installed TS4 first and didn't think about putting it on the SSD so it's in the regular place. When I installed TS3 I put it on the D drive. One of my problems is this.....when I click on the D drive I see Game, Game Data, Support and Thumbnails. The actual TS3 folder is, as usual, in my documents with all the regular files. This is where I put my mods folder and the game isn't recognizing them. It's not recognizing cheats either.

Help? What do I need to do? Did I screw up?

It sounds like you're having mod issues, try the steps in this post to see if they help?

I don't think that's the problem. It's a new computer but I've been playing TS3 since release and I do know how to make a mods folder. They are all Nrass mods that I've used before, they are the right mod for the update for the right patch level.

Even before I added the mods folder the game wasn't recognizing cheats.

Let me ask a dumb question.  Which drive is my SSD?  I just assumed that it would be the D drive.

That's actually not a dumb question. As it really depends on how the system was set up. For example if you bought the computer with both the SSD and hard drive (HD) pre-installed, the SSD would most likely be the C drive and the HD would be the D drive.

Well I just went hunting and I have a lot to learn. I assumed that the D drive was my SSD. Let me try this again and put it in the C drive.
