Acrobat Career

Hi everybody;

I am trying to get out of my comfort zone and decided to play an acrobat so i am right now using javed meir of starlight shores. while playing him, he is a novice but if i play in this town with my own created sim, javed is way more advanced in his career. so my question is just that.  if you play a pre-made sim for the first time, is it the beginning of their career for them? because when he tries to get gigs, he is told he needs to practice more.  any advice you give will be greatly appreciated and thanks guys!
