Time won't work properly while working/sleeping

Hi - recently my sim went to work and the ultra speed was working fine, and then when they went to sleep later that night, ultra speed was no longer working. The next day it didn't work when they went to their job, and it hasn't been working ever since. I was wondering if anyone knew what the issue was and how it could be fixed? Thanks
