Sims that are seriously stuck
« on: May 19, 2011, 09:42:33 PM »
Hello,

I've played almost 100 hours and I've never had this problem. It started with one of my Sims getting stuck with Gobias right outside of the science building, and then she and her husband were stuck kind of half fused into their bed. Each time I used the resetSim first last and it worked a few times but they kept getting stuck other places. At one point I couldn't move objects in and out of pockets/ the refrigerator. Currently my female is stuck in the front hall (she disappears and reappears) and my male is stuck halfway into the wall of the house. I can't click on any other objects either. I tried to click on build mode but then the entire blue task/game bar at the bottom of the screen disappeared! I've tried resetSim, restarting the game itself, and restarting my computer. Nothing is helping. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Welcome to our Forum, Mimi.

Unfortunately, it sounds like your game file has become corrupted.  I've heard of several cases where Sims get stuck just like yours have.  There's really nothing to fix it.  I suggest that you look at your Sims 3 save files and see if any of them have "bad" as part of the file name.  If so, you need to delete all of those files.  If it says "bad" it means you've got a corrupt file and the corruption can spread to other files.  You can get to the save files by following this path:  Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Saves.

Sorry I can't help any more than this.
