My buildings are gone

Okay, so I was playing the sims 4 earlier today and it was fine. I shut my computer off and went to dinner, came back, and now my buildings are disappearing when I go to them. I started a new slot to see if it was still doing it, and it's fine. However, I don't want to delete the other one because I've spent so much time on it and made so many sims. What to do I do?
