Sims 3 game keeps freezing

My Sims 3 game keeps freezing and I barely have any CC. Only 4 packs which are High End Loft, Supernatural, Late Night and Island Paradise. All of my save games constantly freeze no matter the mode. I dont think my RAM is the issue though it could be since my laptop is nearly 4 years old. I clear my DCbackups everyday. And I constantly delete unneeded items on my laptop but my game still freezes. Help! Please I love this game, and I cant bear to loose it.
