Unable to control sim after traveling back home

Hey everyone,

I have been researching this travel glitch for some time but my sim is able to go home. After the loading screen my sim is at the end of the map and just stands there. I also can't control my sim or even click on any of the panels. I have tried resetting my sim and even logging out and back on but when I do that, the name of my sim changes and I'm still unable to control anything. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You may need to use mods to help fix the travel bug problem or if you have a previous save from before your traveled. Try that.

That mod didn't work. I was traveling home from university and my sim is just stuck and my household doesn't appear on the left and my simoleons are at 0. I even uninstalled the game and re installed it. Are there any more suggestions?
