I thought I had seen other people say they talked to them on the phone but I could be wrong. The chat hasn't worked me for so far but I'll do it again if I have no other choice. I just want to play my game!

I actually have read that people have talked on the phone with EA/Origin as well. They don't have a listed phone number that I'm aware of. All I know of is the call-back system.

If you're having issues with chat it's recommend to clear browser cache (Howto link), try again. If that doesn't work, try another browser. We have better luck getting into chat using IE.

Well I just un-installed, ran ccleaner, rebooted computer and then reinstalled and it did the same thing ( wanting to back to back updates) but then the main origin page started to load as normal...only for it to quickly disappear. When I tried opening it again, it was just a plain white page again and it would not load.  I also tried a clean boot and the same thing happened.

@Rangervegas I hadn't seen your post yet but I will keep it mind, thank you!

I'm just so frustrated at this point and ready to scream at EA.

Yea unfortunately what seems like it might be happening to you is when Origin and other programs of this type uninstall, they try to leave some of the files that would be personal to you on your computer so that if you ever reinstall the program again you don't have to reenter your username and password, or have it re download and/or verify what games you have on your account. The problem is if one of these personal files it leaves is corrupted it can cause all kinds of strange things to happen that is why their full manual uninstall procedure recommends deleting all the folders associated with Origin after you've done the uninstall with Add/Remove Programs.

Hopefully you can get this worked out soon with someone from EA or from our help because I know i'd be going nuts if I suddenly couldent play my game and couldent get it to work correctly.

Good Luck

Well I just talked to someone at EA and he had me check my proxy and firewall after I told him I had done everything @MrsFlynn had suggested including a clean boot. Origin still didn't work (  white screen again) so he bumped up my case to the technical specialists team but told me for now to try rebooting my pc and  cleaning my origin cache and see if that worked. It didn't. :(

@Rangervegas I don't think I could find anything the first time I uninstalled as far as files but I was thinking about trying to uninstall, see if any origin folders are left and then reinstalling before I contact EA again. I don't see what I have left to lose at this point. I just want to play my game!

Thank you for all the help though and Happy Thanksgiving!!

You're welcome, @ShiningStar.  Happy Thanksgiving :)!

Thank you!!

Wanted to give a quick update: I contacted EA again, they wanted to me attach the "Dx Diag" to my EA account but of course it wouldn't work so now they think the solution is creating new users in my Pc. I have no clue what he was talking about and I got sent instructions to update my entire computer system and repairing the game in Origin ( which I can't access!) and then doing a clean boot.
This just looks crazy to me but the EA rep refused to tell me anything else, he actually cut me off in the chat.

I really wish I could just get the cd copies of the game and game packs and play them that way. I have never had this much trouble before.

Yea it can be frustrating when they are telling you to do things you don't understand how to do. Esp when they think it's something simple everyone knows what to do but you may not have ever had to do it before. I really think you need to have a friend who is more of a techno geek sit down and help you do all the stuff they are talking about to see if it fixes the problem. I would hate for it to get to the point they start suggesting you reinstall windows to get the game working but unfortunately these days that is alot of what tech support is; impatient help with people until they get to the end of whatever flow chart they are looking at and it says "Reinstall Windows then Reinstall Game" <sigh> It's the corporate mentality, if your helping someone and it takes more than 5-10 minuets then you MUST be doing something wrong, so they hardly ever give people enough time to help with the problem enough to get it fixed when it's something really unusual.

@ShiningStar --- Here is a link to a topic in the the technical issues part of the forum.  It's a sticky at the top of this section.

Origin help Tips

If that doesn't work, I agree with @Rangervegas, it would help if you can find a techie friend --- or if you have to look online for computer help places in your area that are cheaper than the Geek Squad at Best Buy or the Staples people.

I sadly don't know a lot of techie people ... That I like anyways, lol. It's an option though at any rate.

I'm usually am not bad with computers but with how some of these EA techs frame their instructions, it's just kind of mind boggling.  They all seem to have different solutions that "are definitely going to work" .

@ShiningStar --- Maybe you could try asking the Geek Squad at Best Buy --- if you need to.  Tell them you need very clear, step-by-step instructions.  Do the same thing if you do ask someone you know to help you.  Write everything down.

@coolsim9999999

Thanks. Not a bad idea. Hopefully I won't need to take it that far but if I do, I'll be sure to do that.

@ShiningStar --- You're welcome.  I hope you can get someone you know to fix it before taking it into Best Buy!
