[BUG] Connections Reward Trait (and Party questions)

Just recently I've noticed a couple of things in my game.

1. It seems like all party goals have to be met to get a gold medal. In the past, I could usually not complete one goal and still get gold.

2. I've tested this a couple of times. A Sim with the connections reward does start on Level 4, but the corresponding career rewards do not unlock. My Sim entered the Science career and I noticed the Chemistry station wasn't available. Even after getting promoted it still didn't unlock.

I have cleared caches and repaired the game.

*Work-Around:*

As a workaround for some of you facing the issue, you can make temporary use of cheats to get access to your rewards:

Ctrl+Shift+c to access console, then follow these steps (type Enter after each command):

 1.   testingcheats on
 2.   bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement true
 3.  -> place your items / get your rewards (you might want to save your game and reload after that)
 4.   bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement false
 5.   testingcheats off

1. Regarding parties, my legacy household throws several parties a week and have been earning gold medals without necessarily completing all the party milestones.
   This applies to dates as well in my file.
   However, the remaining milestone has to be the last one for its spot. For example, if I complete "Bake a cake" which causes "Make coffee" to appear, I can skip "Make coffee" sometimes.

2. My game file isn't having this issue. But then, I started that file in early August. I wonder if you're having a post-patch issue? I checked EA HQ Answers and found nothing.

I thought I would respond to your post, but I unfortunately was supremely unhelpful. Sorry!
I guess I'm wondering if this is happening to a game created pre- or post-patch.

Hi @reggikko  I've just been play testing this and it's a bug. None of the careers are unlocking the rewards or the cash. My game has been super buggy since the Day of The Dead stuff unlocked even though I am not actively participating in the challenge. But this feature is definitely not working as it used to.

There doesn't seem to be a bug report on this so it would be good if you could report it.

I even tested with a teen that had an 'A' from high school and nothing unlocked for him either. *sigh* Sometimes the patches really annoy me when they bug things out.

I got the connections trait and then started a job. I started at level 4 in the art career BUT I did not get the eazy-breezy easel or the painting light. Is there a fix for this?

Hi @IceCream welcome to the forum!  This seems to be a new bug with the most recent patch. @reggikko and I also had this problem. If you go to this link http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/TO-ADD-Connections-Reward-not-unlocking-items/td-p/5608807 and click "Me too", this bug may be fixed quickly!
