Please Help! Game wont start!

I patched my game to the latest version as suggestion but after downloading and installing the patch my game wont start  Every time i click Play it just closes the launcher then nothing happens.

Nope still nothing! i'm gonna reinstall and re-patch the game and hope it works.

And Btw what if i decide to install all 3 expansions THEN patch decide to patch game, will that be ok?

I'm not sure about that, but sometimes the launcher can be a pain! Try the method as described here:http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,1186.0.html I use this method when I don't have to update!

If you're running Windows, you'll have to patch the game as you go.  It will prompt you to update the game with each expansion.  If you're on a Mac, I think you can do it all at once at the end.

Yes, if you have a PC running Windows.  When you put the expansion disk into your computer, you'll get a message saying that your game needs to be updated and a button that will start it automatically.  When it's finished, you'll get another message that it's ready to continue the installation.  It will do this with each expansion or stuff pack disk that you insert.

It's also a good idea to do a clean uninstall/reinstall of your game when you add an expansion or stuff pack.  You can back up your game files to put back into the game after you're done, so you don't lose your families (unless you happen to have a corrupted file).  We have topics on the Technical Help board that will explain how to back up your files and how to get a nice clean uninstall/reinstall.

Not sure if it's the same issue, but I have noticed after the newest patch that I have had to click the Play button on the launcher twice to get the game to start.

I'm sure you've done that, but just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else noticed this happening and didn't want to start a new thread.
