Whims Do Not Match Relationship

Hello simmers,

I hope you are are enjoying the last day of work / school or the start of weekend.

I have been long bothered by what I believe to be a small flaw of the whim system:

My two sims, Elisabet and Hannah, are good friends and also best friends, as indicated in the screenshot below:



However, both of them constantly have whims such as "Get to Know Hannah (Elisabet)", "Be Friendly with Hannah (Elisabet)", "Chat with Hannah (Elisabet)" and other social interactions with a note in blue below the task saying "(From Being Near a Friendly Relationship)", as indicated in the screenshot below:



Obviously the bolded line is a mistake, and to me properly annoying, so I attempted to force them to be "Mean" to each other and thus become "Acquaintances", then build up the relationship again; it did not work: the whims of same nature still pop up from time to time. Have this ever happened to you people, and are there any solutions to this?

It is just like my married couples wanting to get engaged and married to their (already) spouse. It must definitely be a bug or oversight on the developers' part.

@suluranit  Welcome to the forum  This is just how the game works. Any sim who is friends with any other sim will get the 'From being near a friendly relationship' line and if it is any level of romantic relationship then it will be 'From being near a romantic relationship'. Enemies will get from ebing near an enemy/poor relatinship or something similar. They are the only three lines the game has.

All sims will get whims to 'get to know' etc despite being married or enemies even. I wouldn't call it a bug or a glitch, it is just how the programing works. I guess it is personal opinion as to whether this should be how the whim system works but for me I just look at those whims as easy satisfaction points.

The whim for married sims to marry/get engaged is however a bug.
