School project about The Sims 3
« on: November 20, 2016, 10:34:50 AM »
Dear …,

We are doing a school project about The Sims 3, in which we have divided our target audience in three categories.
We would be much obliged if you would fill in our survey of the category in which you identify yourself for our research.
We have made separate surveys for each category:

1. A group in which everyone still plays The Sims 3 (regularly). You also belong to this group if you are planning on playing the game again and it has not been more than a few years ago since you last played it.

2. A group in which everyone has played The Sims 3 (regularly) and does not do so at the moment. You also belong to this group if you are (currently) not planning on playing the game again.

3. A group in which no one has ever played The Sims 3 and does not do so at the moment. You also belong to this group if you have only tried out the game.

We would like to thank you in advance for your (possible) participation in our research,

Arwen and Kiona

Ps. Our native language is Dutch, so we have included a Dutch translation behind every English part in our survey.

(If you would like to help us a little more, please share :) )

Beste …,

@Kiona1999 Hi and welcome to the forum! You're maybe the third student researchers who have come here for assistance over the years. I just wanted to wish you luck and let you know your post wasn't removed entirely, a Moderator just wasn't sure what was going on at first and set it aside to be safe. I'm sure some of our community will be happy to help.

Well, I filled out one of them. Everything made sense for the first few questions, and then it got weird. What does being stranded on a deserted island, or finding more than one use for a paperclip, have to do with playing or not playing TS3? I'm curious as to what you are actually looking for in this survey - whether or not more or less playing of TS3 inspires creativity and problem-solving thinking? And if that's the case, why specifically TS3 as opposed to other iterations of the Sims franchise?

I filled it out too, and although some of the questions were a little odd, I don't imagine that they would want to tell why they asked those questions as it might affect the outcome of the survey.
