City Living Retail Lots
« on: November 03, 2016, 12:20:00 PM »
I've been trying to get a clear answer on this in various forums but no one has answered me yet. By using Get to Work or Dine Out, can you put retail spaces and restaurants in San Myshuno? If so, are there set lots for this or can you change lot types to whatever you want? Making a business is my favorite part of sims 4, and I don't really want to spend money on CL if I my sim can't build a business of some kind

Welcome to the Forum, @Lrusso! You'll have to bulldoze a community lot or a penthouse lot, but yes, you can put retail stores and restaurants in San Myshuno. I think a rooftop restaurant would be wonderful.

No, you can't on an apartment lot but you can if you bulldoze a venue and change the lot designation.  I went in, bulldozed an apartment/lot.  When I went to change the designation the message was "restricted to apartment".  I then bulldozed the gym and changed the lot to retail.  I could then build my own retail store.  Trying again, I bulldozed a venue and placed a restaurant.  The venues in San Misyuno are very unique, with the exception of the gym but it could be interesting to have the entire town be nothing but apartments, restaurants, shops and bars.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
