Floating Dishes And Other Bugs.
« on: October 21, 2016, 12:22:00 PM »
So, I dragged a dish of the table and it just floated in mid air, when I tried to drag it into the nanocan it just went through the wall and vanished instead, it did not go in the can.  ??? This is weird, is there a fix for this?

Also, I noticed my game, which I've only been playing for a week and a half, Sim time, has been getting buggier and buggier. First if I load a game where the Sims were sitting or sleeping when I left them, when I return, they are standing, even with nothing in inventories. When I pause the game, it keeps running for a few seconds more, about ten minutes Sim time before pausing. Fish is also going bad, even in the fridge, within a day or so.

It's been worse since they returned from Granite Falls and I have been storing some items in their family inventory since, not sure if this the cause as I had the Sims popping out of their seats bug before then, with nothing in any inventories including the family one.

I'm using a house I downloaded from the gallery which I don't normally do, so maybe that is the cause? I have no clue.

This is weird because I have never had a game this buggy before and it's annoying.  >:( Could this be a corrupted save file or is Sims 4 just getting buggier? Just wondering if other people are having similar problems?  ???

The floating plate description sounds like how they act if you leave move objects on in live mode. If you turn move objects off, it should fix it. Not sure about the rest of your issues.

I did use the moveobjects cheat just before using the nanocan and I do have a bad habit of not turning cheats off after using them, I did not know that could cause a glitch, I'll try turning it off, thank you. :)

Forgot to mention that if I pause, then save while Sims are sleeping, upon loading the game is unpaused. *Sigh* Still, most of the other issues I can deal with, it was the floating dishes one that was really bugging me.

I've never experienced any of the problems you mentioned with a new game file. (I'm not discussing the MOO issue, which seems resolved already.)

You mentioned downloading a house from the gallery. If I were you, I'd try moving your household to a different house/lot to see if the problems persist.
At least this would help you determine which issues are caused by the downloaded house.
If you move them into, for example, the Pancakes house and the problems recur, then I don't know what you could do. Maybe @MrsFlynn would have better advice.

The floating dishes issue did get resolved so thanks for that as that was the main issue that was bugging me, no pun intended. :)

I can't move my household as I'm playing in a Random Legacy and that is against the rules unless you roll it. (You re-roll if it's the first generation which I am in).

Most of the bugs are not a big deal and I can handle them. The fish one is the most annoying as the spouse (I rolled a couple for martial status) needs it for his gardening career. However he will be having a mid life crisis (Generational goal I rolled) and changing his career upon his adult birthday so he won't needing the fish for much longer, lol. (He's about a week and half away I think).

I'll just put up with the issues for now and see how I go, I can always bulldoze the house and give them a new one but I'd rather not do that unless as a last resort. I'll try getting rid of the stuff in the family inventory when they no longer need it and see if that helps, won't be until I'm further along in my game though.

I'm not sure what bothers you about the fish going bad, as they will always go bad.
You can buy the Ornate Beauty storage chest or Buyer's Beware storage chest in Buy mode, however, and either chest allows you to store foul fish as well as all the other collectibles.
Good luck with your Random Legacy. Seems like such an impossible challenge!
