Yeah I noticed this problem before too, until I started putting a row in between each like this:XXXXXXXX_________XXXXXXXX_________XXXXXXXXwhere the X's are plants and the _'s are places to walk.

A free row is a must. This is how I set up all gardens: XXXXX-------------XXXXXXXXX-------------XXXXSXXXX-------------XXXXXXXXX------------- XXXXXThe "S" is where the sprinkler sits.To get more plants under the water, you can edit your rows like this XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-------------XXXXSXXXX-----H-------XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXAs long as you have the red X's with access from the outside, the gardener can get to the rows fine. And the orientation of the sprinkler matters. The 'hose' (H)will make it two squares wide if you plant in line with it as opposed to perpendicular (90 degrees sideways)... The tracking gets a little wonky though as the sim cannot walk over the hose segment in the row. The format I show above is the best I currently have for plants per autosprinkler.

Digging a 5 level deep dungeon wine cellar seems like the obvious way to get the maximal aging effect for your Nectarium wine rack storage of your vino.
