Birchwood
« on: July 26, 2015, 01:58:11 PM »
A little house I been working on and thought I would share. Second floor has 2 bed rooms, bath room, work room and painting room.
First is a kitchen, dining room, master bedroom, master bath with walk-in closet, family room and sun room
The basement is a game/entrainment room.
The backyard has a pool, hot tub, grilling area, fire pit and horseshoe pit.
Opps, just noticed I forgot to remove the headstone before uploading. That's Nancy Landgraab. Do graves transfer with the upload? I'll have to download it myself and find out.
Hope I didn't miss anything else. The house has been lived in so I apologize if I left you any dirty dishes to clean up.  ;)
Hope you like and enjoy this one. :)

Edit: I went and download this house and the headstone does come with the house but it's just a generic headstone, not Nancy's grave. :) But I didn't seen any dirty dishes anyway. :)

Thank you. I'm enjoying trying the building side of the game.

Love the curved end on the porches.  Is there a special way to get that curve?  I also particularly like the basement with the way you sort of curved/angled the seating.  Really looks cozy.   Sort of a man cave too.  I've not done anything with awnings but it really helps make the look of your house.

What?  Grannies can't play games?

Awnings is something I seldom use but when I finished the house it still looked like it needed something so I tried the awnings and I liked how it looked with them. It just seemed to fit the house perfect.

Getting the curved end on the porches I just used two flat round decks put together.

Place two of the flat round decks

Resize them both to two blocks wide

Then just move them together to make them one unit then you can move it to where ever you need it.

I've done that on the ground but didn't know you could put it up as a balcony.  Thank you.

I'm not sure why I love your basement entertainment center so much.
Since viewing your images of it yesterday, it's been on my mind a lot today.
My conclusion is: if it had a fridge and microwave, I would never have to leave the house during the snowy winter which has arrived where I live.

But seriously, what a lovely house.  I particularly like the balconies when viewed from the front.
