Really, Grim?A day and a half after his first visit, the Grim Reaper returns for Joe. This time, the game informs us that Joe is gone for good.
The whole family feels the loss, but obviously Jenna takes it the hardest.
Jenna is not one to be idle, even in grief, and soon she is channeling her feelings into her paintings. This one kind of speaks for itself.
Slowly, but surely, life goes on. Young Leo is a cheerful Sim, and simply cannot stay down for long. He decides to learn how to cook and finds that he really enjoys it.
As for Liam, he must now earn as many skill points and reward traits as he possibly can before his young-adult birthday. Such is the life of a Wonder Child.
One of the skills that Liam is trying to max is Mischief while simultaneously working on the Chief of Mischief aspiration. Therefore, it is necessary for him to be disliked by two Sims. He tries to get this woman to dislike him by implying that her mother is a llama, but rather than getting angry, she becomes flirty instead! Hmmm…elders can’t actually flirt with teenagers, but she’s in such a flirty mood that she keeps reacting positively to everything Liam says no matter how insulting. Guess he’ll just have to make an enemy elsewhere.
When a notice pops up that the Humor and Hijinks Festival is in town, Liam knows that it would be the perfect opportunity to max his Mischief skill and finish the corresponding aspiration once and for all. However, Liam is reluctant to leave home because Jenna has already received her final notice from Grim. Jenna insists that Liam go to the festival, but she agrees to tag along and bring Leo with her to prevent Grim from coming while Liam is gone.
“Are you sure you’re okay, Mom?”
As soon as they arrive at the venue, Jenna hears the ominous music. Smiling bravely, she sends Liam off to the festival while holding Leo back with her. A crowd of employees from various food stalls at the Humor and Hijinks Festival begins to form around Jenna and Leo as the Grim Reaper approaches. Leo pleads for his mother, and it works! Maybe Grim just wants to show off for the crowd who (except for Leo) are all ladies.
Jenna is understandably exhausted after her near-death experience. She heads to the nearby Casbah Art Gallery to find a nice couch to rest on and sends Leo to the festival. Leo wants to take his mother home, but again, Jenna insists. She says it’s very important that Liam max Mischief. Leo doesn’t understand why, but he can’t argue with his mother so he does as he is told.
Liam is unaware that any of this is going on and joins the Pranksters at the Humor and Hijinks Festival as planned. Ironically, all three of the women in this picture were among the crowd that gathered around Jenna just a few moments ago.
Jenna’s efforts are not in vain as Liam maxes Mischief and completes the Chief of Mischief aspiration at the festival. He also gets the “air horn” social interaction which he tries out on his brother. He then convinces Leo to streak.
Okay, okay. I know this makes Liam look incredibly insensitive, but remember that he is unaware that the Grim Reaper made an appearance at the Humor and Hijinks festival. And when you reach level 10 Mischief, you’ve just got to try out the new social interactions.
Liam is likewise unaware that the Grim Reaper is waiting for Jenna when she and the boys return home. Again, Liam is sent off to work on a random skill (fishing, maybe?) while Leo stays back with his mother.
Leo is like, “Really, Grim?”
Unfortunately, this means the boys are on their own now.
Liam has two days left until his young adult birthday.
