Nanny bug

Apparently there is a bug that causes any Sim who meets a Nanny to become ageless. Not only will the Sim quit growing older, but you won't be able to age up the Sim with cake. The easiest way to prevent this is to refrain from hiring a Nanny. However, if you have used the Nanny and found that you now have a Sim who won't grow up, there is a cheat:

Open the cheat console: Ctl-Shift-C
type testingcheats true
type traits.remove_trait HasMetNanny

According to crinrict, that should work.

Now I know why my sim wasn't aging up and wasn't able to use the cake. I just used the cheat and it worked. Thanks.

Looks like it might be fixed very quickly, perhaps even in today's patch. Will have to test and see as the patch notes haven't been updated/released yet.

The updated game version found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > GameVersion.txt. Your game should now read: PC Version 1.21.37.1020 / Mac Version 1.21.37.1220.

This patch was to fix long load times on startup when many screenshots are saved.

Oh, that's nice! I'm having the long loading screen thing but I thought it was just me. They fixed it before I even really had time to get annoyed!

It was a very fast fix, basically four days and two of those a weekend!
