Ps3 pet name change

Hi, i was wondering if there was a way to change your pets name on the PS3 version of Sims 3 pets. I know you can do it on PC by going to care and then choosing the change name option but there doesn't seem to be one of those on the PS3 version. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I *think* you can do it by getting a human Sim to click on City Hall, it will say change name, I'm pretty sure you then get a pop-up asking whose names you want changed, and the pets come up on the list.
