Tip: User Interface (UI) and Icons are too Small
« on: May 09, 2016, 11:38:01 PM »
If this is happening to you, you will need to check that you're using the correct resolution for your monitor. For example: 1920X1080 (1080p)

Increasing the resolution beyond that will just make the image smaller (and stress the video components more).

It's best to work with the native screen resolution to start with and adjust the resolution from there in-game if you are having problems with small UI/Icons.

> Options Menu > Game Options > Graphics > Resolution

:Warning:
Changing the UI resolution can cause game problems primarily with paintings and their auras and photography skill.
Although this seems to have been corrected with Update: 06/15/2017 – PC Version 1.31.37.1020 / Mac Version 1.31.37.1220

Tip: Changing the UI within the Option.ini file
« Reply #1 on: June 28, 2016, 10:15:12 PM »
---> C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 > Options.ini

Options.ini has a uiscale parameter in line 4

like this: uiscale = 100

This value (100), you change in small steps until it is readable/usable.

Smaller values make the ui bigger (like 90,80,...50,etc) and bigger values make it smaller (110,120,etc).

Of course, the parameter changes the complete ui, so not only the color stripes will get bigger/smaller, the texts and symbols change too.

:Warning:
Changing the UI resolution can cause game problems primarily with paintings and their auras and photography skill.
