Help my Sim's body is different from it's head? *Solved*

Okay, so first of all, I got a new computer. I had played sims before (in old laptops even) but never got this problem so I don't know how I got it. I downloaded The Sims 3 using the disc and TS3 Island Paradise expansion pack but it kept crashing at the launcher and while playing the game every 5 mins or so but now I got used to it and it disappeared on it's own. But when I try to create new sims, it's body's always black. As in pitch black even though my head is the whitest color. It starts at the neck. So I decided not to create sims anymore and move in to a household and the body was normal but I used "testingCheatsenabled true" and edited my sim and the body became black again.

I tried to search the internet but it was:
1. Check the Simbin - but i just downloaded it so there wasn't anything there.
2. That my computer's video card is old I think my computer is new and was said to be made for gaming but just in case, how do I check it? I tried in control panel..
3. That there are default skin tones conflicting with each other.. How do I see that?





So the first one is the normal sim and the second is glitched. I tried changing my clothes and it doesn't work. I also tried showering..

I'm sorry if this has been solved. It has either hasn't worked for me, or I haven't seen it.

I think I might be able to help with this problem. You may have some custom content attached to your sim that isn't showing properly.

I've run into this problem myself. What was suggested to help is:

1. Take the Sim back into Create a Sim. (Your Sim may be entirely grey/black.)
2. Under the Basic Tab, change the Sim's skin tone color to it's original color. - For example: My Sim had a light skin tone, so I choose yellow. (Now you will see the body/head align a little better.)
3. Click on the Swimwear tab to get the skin tone back to normal.

Then I clicked on the options button under their photo to save them to the Simbin. So I had a saved version of the fixed Sim. And went to play them.

As far as your video card goes. It's an integrated video card, which is not recommended for Sims 3.

Integrated video cards aren't meant for gaming. You need a dedicated video card with at least 1 - 2 GB of memory to get best gaming results.

Have you removed a Custom Skin? I've had that to happen when I remove on. It might be that tank top.

Hmm.. That's odd. Would you mind sharing him? So I might be able to play-test him?

Custom skin is basically a skin that's custom content that you can get from places like ModtheSims and/or SimsResource and places like that.

If you're unsure on how to save him to share him. I've got a couple how-tos on that.

After you have him saved and want to upload the file.

1. Come back to this thread and click reply. Find the word Attach. (Below the message box)
2. Navigate to where the file was saved to attach the file. - Look in the Exports folder of your Sims 3 folder
-- C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Exports
3. When finished, Click Post.

Did you create them yourself? If so, have you downloaded any bad custom content?

awww. I didn't make them, they were part of the Island Paradise expansion.. there weren't any weird ccs ( I didn't download any) so I guess the problem is my computer..

Lesson learned: check your video card first haha
