Hi Carl (and Pam),
Firstly, although I am new to posting here, I'm a long time reader and should start by saying thank you to the amount of research and knowledge you continue to share with us.
I was reading your guide to raising children (I'm a fan of the legacy game) and wondered if it might be helpful to anyone to add a note on the benefits of feeding a toddler in the high chair... the long way round.
In my current game, Pappy is a Five Star Chef and is cooking perfect food every time. The game does allow you to feed this perfect food to any toddlers you may have but it is a bit of a long way round - although you're probably already aware of this.
First, an adult picks said toddler up.
The next action is to place the toddler in the high chair (do not use the "feed in high chair" option, this invariably results in the toddler being fed the auto slop provided for in the game).
Once the toddler is in the high chair, click the high chair as the adult and see the option "Serve food". If you click this, you will be allowed to choose from whatever leftovers you have in the fridge.
Of course, a food processor is required for this option (liquidised food for tooth free toddlers).
The adult will then use the food processor, blend the portion of leftovers and feed it in the high chair to the toddler.
The toddler then benefits fully from the food buff moodlet.
I don't know if this would be helpful to any newbies to legacy games and children, it certainly helps boost the happiness bar for toddlers if you can't quite afford the beautiful vista property yet.
I'll just go back to lurking....
