Gaining logic skill while painting.
« on: April 28, 2016, 12:23:59 PM »
I had a sim age up to a teen so I thought I would let her start her painting skill. She was focused when I click on the easel and she had the option to do a Mathematical Diagram and I figured why not. I could use a focus painting for the house. After painting for while I had a message pop up saying she leveled her logic skill. When I look at her skill levels she was gaining logic skill from the painting but not getting any painting skill from it.
She finished the painting and had leveled up the logic skill level she was on but still had zero painting skill.
A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory.

Correct, mathematical drawings level up logic, not painting.  So instead of clicking the mathematical diagram, you can pick any of the others which without any skill would be classic I believe.

In my opinion, it should level both. If she is using a brush and easel, then she is using her painting skill. I can understand why a diagram might add to logic skill, though. On the other hand, I would expect it to be more likely, that KNOWING the logic skill would allow her to do the drawings, rather than the act of imitating something being the source of the skill. Of course, it's a game, and that's how things work.
