Curious about Sprinklers

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere already. Whats up with the sprinklers turning colors at night? Does it mean something is happening or is it just a nice touch of color for the game? I thought at first it might have to do with the life plants, but it does it way before I have those planted.

I think it's just a touch of color from the game to make it pretty.

Ya, me neither Maybe it's because I have a bad computer and my graphic quality is bad.

My sprinklers don't turn colors either??      Do you have outdoor lighting nearby that are set to different colors?

No outdoor lights or anything.  They just sometimes turn colors.  I haven't noticed it since the release of World Adventures, but if I see it again, I'll try to get a screenshot.
