[BUG] Problem browsing gallery on the Sims 4 website *Fixed*
« on: March 20, 2016, 09:04:40 PM »
Not sure if this is the right place to ask but is anyone else having problems searching the gallery on the Sims 4 website?
I can go to the gallery and search for my user name and I get a message saying Sorry, nothing matched your search criteria. And if I try a hashtag search for carlsguide I only get one return, a house by Indira.
I've also tried several other user names from here and get the same nothing matched message. The only name I've got a return on is    Indira_1221 and it only shows one house for her.
I tried following links from the swap shop to the gallery and the house will come fine but if I click on the username from there I get the same nothing matched message again.
I was wanting to get a link for one of my uploads but I can't get it sense I can't find me from the website gallery.

Fixed as of: March-23-2016

*Work-Around*

--- Click the Advanced button, and clear the Maxis Curated box. Then do your search.

This is a known bug. However, If you find you have this bug, please go over to answer.ea.com using the link below and on the first post you should see a Me Too button under it. Click it to help show that others are having similar issues and hopefully that should help get it some attention.

Regardless if I'm logged into the Gallery's website I can't get anywhere either. I get the same message = Sorry, nothing matched your search criteria and Indira's house is the only thing that comes up while searching for Carlsguide.

Have you tried searching for the specific item? I usually get better results from that then trying to search ID or hastags.

Edit to Add:

Errm.. nevermind. Searching via item name didn't work out either. That's usually my go to search type.  *Sigh*

Yes, I tried that also.
But I just figured out how to get the search to work. On the search bar there is a Advance button on the right next to the Search button. If you click it a drop menu comes up with one option and a check mark in Maxis Curated. If I remove that check mark then do the search everything seems to work fine. I'm not sure what the Maxis Curated option is suppose to be but it messes up my searches.
If I leave the site and come back the option is checked again and I have to remove the check mark to get it to work again.

I tried both Maxis Curated checkmarked and not checkmarked. Neither way worked for me. But am happy to hear searching seems to be working again!! :)

Sorry to hear that didn't work for you. I was happy when I figured it out and was hoping that would help others having the same problem.

It's okay. At least you were able to find a work-around. :) I don't use the gallery all that often.

So I decided to give searching the gallery a try again, just in case. It worked. Like Grimsoul said - Click the Advanced button, and clear the Maxis Curated box. Not sure why this works, but it does!! :)

However, I'd like to note you may need to be logged into the gallery's website for this to work. So you might not be able to browse without logging in.

Thank you Grimsoul!!

@MrsFlynn  Cool, glad it's working for you now also.
I done some searching on it as for why it works I think it's because that the Maxis Curated option is for items favored by Maxis. I done a search for lots and left the Maxis Curated option checked and recognized some of the lots from the popup messages you get in the game when Maxis favorites a lot, household or room.
That's why it comes back without finding anything when I search my user name, sense I have nothing favored by Maxis.
