Party Timer Bug?
« on: March 20, 2016, 01:08:55 PM »
So, I know there's a bug out there that makes it so the timer for parties doesn't tick down until the last third of the party (in other words, the circle stays white until the last little while, then it drops down to about a 1/3 and seems right), except I've now found a bug where when it does that, it will go from a half hour left to zero in the space of two real seconds, even when speed 3 isn't on.  Has anyone else had this?

EDIT: Tried the usual solutions, clear cache, repair game, etc.

Yes I've had exactly that! Then if you hover over the white circle the time remaining changes up and down! Makes it really difficult to do gold parties.

Yeah... I've failed on 3 parties now... and if it isn't the timer, it's that a goal won't register... I'm really starting to get discouraged...

Sorry for double post, but wanted to share an observation.  Finally managed to get two golds in a row (not without some craziness...).  One thing I noticed was that in my previous attempts, where I had the issue of the timer going crazy, I had used speed 3 in the very beginning to hurry some of the Sims as they completed their various tasks.  But this time, I didn't do that.  The next party, I refrained from using speed 3 and that too seemed to make the difference.  Of course, this is only two parties, so it could just be one of those number things, but thought I'd share the thoughts.

This is a known bug. Link to EA Bug Report below.

Yeah, already put a Me Too on there, did it when it first appeared.  But before it would count down correctly, but just not show it right.  This was a new aspect of it I hadn't run into it.

I added a 'me too', as well. Hopefully it's fixed soon. Sounds like not speeding helps anyway so that's really good to know.
