installed Sims3 on second computer

Can I only install Sims3 on one computer at a time?  Installed it on laptop now can't play on Desktop just wont' bring up the autorun prompt just does nothing.  Had this problem yesterday then suddnely it worked so maybe someone could let me know.  Hopefully its not my drive.

You can play on more than one computer at a time.  It is just when the game starts you have to have the disc in the computer.  Once the game is loaded, you can take the disc out and put it in a different computer if you want.  Or if you are constantly connected to the internet you do not need a disc at all.  See this post.  I am not sure why you are having the problem with autorun.  I am not a technophobe but technology does not like me.  I am limited in my knowledge.  Good luck.
