Some of my package files won't show up in the game
« on: February 12, 2016, 09:36:32 AM »
Hi. I hope someone here can help me.  :)

I use some CC (not all that much though) and up until today my package files (in the Mods folder) all worked properly. Today I added some new buildings that won't show up in the game at all - even though all my other mods still work! I thought maybe they conflicted with some of my other CC so I took it all out and put it back in carefully. And now some of my OLD package files won't work as well even though they still worked before I took them out and added them back to the game. Other package files still work perfectly though. What is happening? At first I thought the new package files might just be faulty (which would have been weird since they're popular) but that can't be the case since some of my older CC stopped working too after taking it out of the game and putting it back in. I'm really annoyed. Not only can't I add the buildings to my new neighbourhood, I also can't play my old one anymore since the CC lots stopped working... Does anyone know what's up with that?

This has happened to me when my package files had stopped working all together. Try creating a new mods folder and replacing the old one with it and try clearing your caches. Has anything new (such as patches, expansion packs ect.) been added except these package files? Is your store/sims 3 packs still working also? I'm just trying to factor out some of the potential causes. :)

Hi! Thanks for the help. I tried clearing my caches and creating a whole new mods folder but nothing changed.  :( I also didn't install anything new before adding the package files. I got University Life a while ago but I've been playing it two or three times since and my old mods kept working fine so it can't be that. My sims 3 packs are working perfectly. The thing that's really weird to me is how some package files work and some don't - and some that used to work stopped working but others still appear in the game. (I also checked all the files with Delphy's dashboard and none came up conflicted or corrupt. I just don't know anymore.) Thanks for the suggestions!  :)
